Top Ten Tuesdays (1): Top Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week we list our top 10 book-related things. This weeks Top Ten Tuesday consists of ten books that are on my Spring 2014 TBR List old and new!!
I decided that I'm only going to post 10 books that have been sitting on my TBR list instead of 10 books that will be released this spring. My version of spring cleaning!! Also, this will not include series, since I have my own series goal for 2014!!

----------------------------------------

1. My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
This book is the 1st book on my TBR shelf on Goodreads! I haven't watched the movie and I own on copy of it. I really need to read this! And don't even get me started on the other 7 books by Picoult that I own and haven't read. AH!

2. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
Yet another book I own and haven't read. And no, I haven't seen the movie. But I really want to! I love Tom Hanks.

3. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chosbky
The amount of times I would pick this book up and put it back down is ridiculous, until one day I finally decided to buy it. I'm exciting to read this because at times I find myself to be a bit of a wallflower and I'm curious to see if I'll form a connect with Logan.

4. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Seeing as I love classics, I'm surprised in myself that I haven't read this yet! Read Jane Eyre and absolutely just fell in love! And I'm hoping to fall in love with Wuthering Heights!

5. The Camera Never Lies by Tess Daly
I picked this up in the bargain section at Chapters in May 2013. While the synopsis was interesting, I really love the cover. This Chick Lit should be pretty entertaining.

6. Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult & Samantha van Leer
A mother/daughter book? Why yes! A must read for sure!! When I first added this to my TBR list I had no idea that Picoult was Samantha's mother. But now this makes me want to read it ten times more!

7. Aleph by Paulo Coelho
The one author that I will probably never stop talking about. I've read majority of his books minus 4 and with every book Paulo Coelho always manages to open my eyes and makes me see/live differently. Such an inspiring author.

8. Wanderlove by Kristen Hubbard
Oh how I would love nothing more than to just travel the world, meet new people and experience new things! But I can't, so I'll just have to live through Bria.

9. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
This is one that I know will make me cry, which is probably why I have put off reading it. This will be my first Jojo Moyes book, and I'm excited!

10. The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
During the month of January, while taking the subway I would see roughly around 4 people a day reading this. I've heard nothing but great things about this book and I'm looking forward to finally reading it!

What are some books that are sitting on your TBR list?

  1. I also haven't read Aleph! Missed it somehow completely. Rosie Project makes to my list too. But rest of the books, I have read. You're going to have a marvelous time with all these books. Wuthering Heights is my second favorite book after Gone with the Wind.

    1. Ah! Someone else who reads Paulo Coelho <3. I'm looking forward to reading Wuthering Heights! I haven't figured out when I will start it, but hopefully it'll be soon :). I need to reread Gone with the Wind, it was one I read and liked but I didn't love it.

    1. Picoult seems to be a hit or miss for some people. But I have a feeling I will love her books, which is why I keep buying them although I have yet to read any, haha. I commented on your TTT!! :)

  3. Wow, we actually have several books in common, though none of these made my TTT today. DEFINITELY read My Sister's Keeper before you watch the movie, otherwise the movie will suck all the emotion out of the book. Numbers 2, 3 and 9 are also on my huge TBR list :)

Please feel free to check out my list!

    1. I've put off reading My Sister's Keeper because I know it'll make me cry, which is a silly excuse!I hope to start it next week but it'll probably take me a couple of months to get around to watching the movie after I read it.

I commented on your post, but I just want to say great selection! Really hope you enjoy Dark Lover & The Catcher in the Rye!!

    1. I love your selection for TTT!! I don't have a Disqus account, but this was my response.

Great selection! A couple of these are on my TBR list in general. I received an ARC for Above, and so far I'm enjoying it! Your on book #5 for A Song of Ice & Fire?! How are you enjoying the series? I'm hoping to start this series this year!

  6. I really enjoyed Between the Lines =) It's sad seeing such a low rating for this book on goodreads, but I think that's because the book is aimed at younger teens and a lot of Adult Jodi Picoult fans ended up reading the book :/
